By including these invented cruelties, Tacitus aims to highlight the corrupt and oppressive nature of the ruling elite, as well as to evoke a sense of outrage and condemnation from his readers. Additionally, by exaggerating or inventing certain atrocities, Tacitus may also be seeking to underscore the need for political reform and the dangers of unchecked power. The alleged evidence from Tacitus and Flavius Josephus is always mentioned because they are two of the most important non-Christian sources that mention Jesus of Nazareth and early Christianity. Tacitus, a Roman historian, mentions Jesus and his execution by Pontius Pilate in his work "Annals," while Flavius Josephus, a Jewish historian, refers to Jesus and his followers in his "Antiquities of the Jews." These references are significant because they provide external confirmation of the existence of Jesus and the early Christian movement, which is important for historical and religious studies. However, there is also debate among scholars about the authenticity and reliability of these references. **
